This chap in the polkadot neckerchief is Mauno. Despite being deaf, he radiates a positive attitude toward the world, as with his endorsement of what I’m going to guess is an old Finnish adage: “Thursday is full of hope.”

Meet Mayra-Kaarlo

When they galavant around together, Mauno and Mayra-Kaarlo are quite the handful. Here you can see them in action as they carry out a sneaky assault on an unsuspecting vase of flowers. Showing their smarts, one keeps lookout while the other readies the attack.

Mauno and Mayra-Kaarlo enjoy an indoors-and-outdoors lifestyle. Here they’ve been snapped at the highest part of Helsinki, after they surmounted it on one of their healthy hikes.
